The diversity and quality of our fishing is our hallmark – our glamping lodge is located in the middle of Chilean Patagonia and is surrounded by a wide variety of waters that allow us to satisfy the different desires of each angler.

Our domes and yurts are surrounded by a forest of coigües and lengas, on the banks of the Mañihuales River. This glamping set-up perfectly complements demanding fishing days, allowing a full and pleasant rest in total contact with nature – it's the perfect setting to share entertaining anecdotes with a glass of wine.

With a maximum capacity of six guests, we ensure a personalized and exclusive service, in a warm and cozy atmosphere, where you'll feel at home, relaxed and far from the daily routine.

Environmental & Social Practices

Environment

In accordance with our environmental sustainability plan, we have taken concrete action to reduce our impact, which allows us to pass on the positive effects of these actions to our guests.

Compost: We have a composting container made by people from nearby towns, which allows us to reduce the generation of organic waste by 80%, transforming it into fertilizer both for our garden and for local producers.

Recycling: We carry out a strict classification of our waste, which allows us to use recycling plants for approximately 90% of glass waste, and 80% of paper and cardboard waste.

Community

Interaction with local communities is part of what we do and this has led us to develop a symbiotic relationship, allowing us to grow in harmony with our social environment.

On the other hand, the interaction with the local culture is a fundamental pillar in the experience that Mañihuales Eco Lodge offers to you; immersing you in the Patagonian history and customs is one of our main aspirations.

History

When we visited Chilean Patagonia for the first time, it was impossible for us to ignore its imposing landscapes, the exuberance of its evergreen forests and the diversity of its fauna, elements that, added to the special warmth of its people, made this secluded corner of the world capture us in an almost magical way.

From this deep connection with the untamed nature of Chilean Patagonia, the desire to contribute to its conservation and the passion we feel for fly fishing, a simple project was born. Our great aspirations and dreams would eventually become Mañihuales Eco Lodge.

Our primary goal is to give anglers from all over the world access to one of the most pristine and unexplored places on the planet.

Guests will experience living a memorable location through fly fishing and the various activities that allow them to interact closely with imposing Patagonia.

We are sure that each of our visitors will leave with the conviction that our environment is a special place, both for its stunning scenery and for the moments shared there, which we hope will contribute to the promotion of its care and conservation.

Your Manager, Francisco Calvanese O.

The Setting

Mañihuales Eco Lodge is in a privileged location for fly fishing. Located in one of the areas with the greatest diversity of water resources in Chilean Patagonia, it is not necessary to travel long distances to find many waters that offer spectacular opportunities for the angler.

Rivers, lakes, lagoons and spring creeks combine to provide the widest fishing possibilities, where it is possible to wade small rivers and streams, as well as float those with a greater flow.

For stillwater fishing lovers, we also have lakes and lagoons abundant in salmonids.

Among the rivers we visit most often for our fishing trips are the Mañihuales, the Ñirehuao, the Emperador Guillermo and the renowned Simpson River to name but a few.

Additionally, we know rivers and streams located in remote areas where fishing pressure is virtually non-existent and we carry out permanent exploration to find those wild and virgin corners that give our anglers an unforgettable fishing experience.

Lakes Pedro Aguirre Cerda and Las Torres, along with lagoons and lakes used specially by our guests, are the perfect complement to an unforgettable fishing trip.

The Fishing

Fishing is our passion and we strive to fullfill the expectations of our guests so they have the best experience with our team.

Our guides have extensive experience in the area and the nearby townspeople, with their warmth and simplicity, allow us to operate all the necessary aspects to satisfy our clients' demands.

We can offer unbeatable fishing because of our fabulous variety of waters, where browns and rainbow trout will make your fishing day an unforgettable one.

Entertainment is assured. The Mañihuales river is our trademark. We can literally fish it from our back yard and catching those wild rainbows or big browns offers surprise and adrenaline that can give you the bite of a great chinook.

If variety is what you like, the Picacho, Picaflor and Simpson rivers are a safe bet. Its brown and rainbow residents will test your fishing skills and fishing equipment, in a contest to see who wins the battle.

Our season is from November 1st to April 30th. Every month gives us different conditions and surprises, so really any month you wish to visit will offer great rewards.

We also care about always accompanying our dishes with a selection of one of our national prides... Chilean wines!

At the time of your reservation, we will ask you if you have any food allergies or special requirements. We want you to have the best time with us!

Wines

Chilean wines are included in our programs and come specially from Central Valley.

Our favorite strain is Carmenere which is exclusive to Chile and it goes very well with our dishes.

With fish and seafood we prefer white wines from Casablanca Valley.

Description

Our yurts are inspired in the ancient households of the Mongols, who needed light but at the same time energy-efficient camps to face the inclement weather of their habitat.

This energy efficiency, maximized with the latest generation techniques and materials, plus their direct contact with nature, are the essential characteristics that led us to implement these constructions.

They will allow a perfect rest after a strenuous day of fishing, or can be enjoyed simply for rest and relaxation
